How many slips are at Docks on 5th (“DOF”)?  60

What does it cost to berth a boat at DOF?  $726 per quarter assessment billed directly to the slip owner.  A late fee is charged for all assessments 30 days overdue.

What are the boat size limits at DOF?  Maximum length of each slip is 30 feet, and each boat must be of such length and dimensions and moored so that the boat does not extend beyond its slip and create a navigational hazard for other boats or otherwise impedes access to and from other slips.  Maximum height is 15 feet (to clear the bridges at high tide), and the water depth at mean low tide is 5 feet.

How does an owner stay in touch with DOF activities and updates?  The website will be updated regularly with periodic communications sent out by email and post.  In addition to quarterly Board of Directors meetings (March, June, September and December), there is an annual meeting in December.  Notice of all quarterly meetings are posted on the clubhouse door, and notification is sent to slip owners of the annual meeting.  All owners are welcome to attend.

Who is the dock master and what does he do?  Joe Terry is our dock master and can be reached at 239.732.8188.  He has been hired as a full time employee and will help owners and tenants with any boating needs.

How do I access my boat?  Keys to the docks are distributed to all slip owners by the dock master.  Feel free to pick your keys up at any time. For owners’ security these keys cannot be reproduced. A Certificate of Insurance (see above) is required to receive a key.

How do I obtain a gate clicker? As you know, construction on Hyatt House has been completed with gates installed near the entrance to allow access to parking for Docks on 5th owners only. These gates are operated by a “clicker” similar to a garage door opener. There is only one clicker per slip.

You may come in to the clubhouse at any time to pick up your clicker. They will NOT BE MAILED. If you are renting a slip, you must send a letter to our P.O. Box address to authorize your renter by name to pick up your clicker. If you have any questions, call Joe at 732.8188.
